Desktop Image

I caught gemini's post about desktops yesterday and thought I'd chime in. She was curious about people's computer desktops and how, if at all, their desktop reflects their personalities.

OK...we know I am a complete computer nerd with multiple systems and desktops. The one I think is the most interesting is the one on my iMac. This is the computer that I use the most. It has the center place on my computer workstation, and I do most of my posting, e-mail, writing and spreadsheet work on it. It is the most connected (network, printer, scanner) and has been around the longest.

The image is a close up of one of the stained glass windows in the chapel on campus. I am a glass artist, having done stained glass for years and now lampworking and mouthblown glass. I have this image to remind me that I need to take the time from work and do something to enjoy myself. The other major portion of the desktop are the reminder notes, compliments of a neat little piece of software known as StickyBrain 2. It a great little piece of code. There aren't too many stickies on the desktop currently, mostly for DVD and movie release dates. "The 26 Things" list is for my entry into the "26 Things - Photographic Scavenger Hunt" (see my photoblog for details).

I guess the overall message is that I am a listmaker, and need to remind myself to take time away from the desk regularly.
