Opus Returns on Sunday!
Just a reminder to those of you who might not regularly pick up the sunday paper. Berkeley Breathed and Opus the penguin are returning to the Sunday comics this weekend.
Breathed, who is pretty notorious for keeping away from public appearances, agreed to an electronic "interview" with Salon about the upcoming return. (LINK - note: requires either a subscription or a brief commercial viewing to see full article - but it's worth it.)
One of my favorite quotes. When asked why he was comng out of retirement, Breathed writes:
"The world went and got silly again. I left in 1995 with things properly, safely dull, and couldn't imagine why anyone would feel it necessary again to start behaving ridiculously. It would have been at least courteous of the Republicans to warn a few of us inclined to retire our ink-swords that they had King George waiting in his zoom-zoom jetsuit aching to start the Crusades again."
I am so looking forward to this. See my earlier post or a different interview with The Onion for more wacky goodness.
