Apple's Macintosh: 20 Years Old

The Apple Macintosh line of computers is 20 years old this weekend. CNN.com has a good article about it: Apple's core: The Mac turns 20.
The article covers a lot of the history in a pretty short space, including the original Macintosh commercial from the 1984 Super Bowl, which is a finalist for the Super Bowl's Greatest Commercial (click the link to vote for the Mac!).
My favorite part: the following summary about the Mac user mentality from Steve Wozniak.
"Macintosh users tend to be a very independent type, and they tend to be very loyal to their product," Wozniak said. "They've been threatened with [Apple] going out of business and being put out of their schools and out of their companies, and they've got to fight. There's so much passion for it."

Comments
My college roommate and I used to go down to Sears or Wards or some odd place and gaze at the new Apple computers. He tried to talk me into a Mac for the next twenty years. I finally broke down this year and bought myself a Powerbook. I have no idea what took me so long.
