Celebrity Poker Showdown

I'm checking out The Celebrity Poker Showdown finale on Bravo right now.

David Cross, Paul Rudd, Nicole Sullivan, Richard Schiff, and Willie Garson, are competing for pieces of a $250,000 prize pool. I really have enjoyed watching this since it started. It is kind of interesting to see which celebs can actually play the game. The episode with the cast members of "The West Wing" was a lot of fun to watch. As were Emily Proctor, Sarah Silverman, and Mimi Rogers. It was also fun to watch Ben Affleck get his ass kicked.

Unfortunately, there is a lot of time spent not watching poker: lots of explanations. I guess this is necessary for viewers who are not familiar with No Limit Hold'Em. It would have been helpful for some of the actual players as well: Scott Stapp (whoever the hell he is), Coolio (who was answering his cell phone on the air), Shannon Elizabeth, and Tom Green (who is just an idiot).

There also seems to be some decent players as well. The final five, for example.

First out: Willie Garson. Ol' Willie went on tilt after a bad beat.

They're back to real poker. Paul Rudd is showing some skill, Nicole Sullivan as well. A couple of these guys are almost down to the felt. I'm gonna watch now. You should too.

Nicole Sullivan won the tournament with some brilliant play. She had David Cross trying to figure out what the hell was going on. Methinks the slightly drunken, flirty blond thing was a hustle. She was absolutely hilarious.
