A Nearly Perfect Day

What a wonderful day. As most of you know, I am a college professor, so there was no work today as we are in the middle of summer break.

The weather was amazing. Mid 70's sunny. Went out for coffee (and breakfast) with a copy of the Daily Free Press.

Tee time was at 10:24 with three good friends. I had an amazing round. Scored 95, my best round ever. First birdie of the season, and 4 pars. I was hitting the ball really well today.

Had dinner and went to a movie with a new friend. Saw the Stepford Wives. Enjoyed the dinner, movie, and especially the conversation. Lots of laughing.

Day ends with a bit o' bloggin', a bit of surfing, and right before lights out, a few minutes with my nose in a book. Doesn't get much better than this.

I chatted with my brother today, and maybe I should take his advice and go out and purchase a lottery ticket.

Sounds like a perfect day. You enjoyed the movie? I want to see the original first, but may not wait. I tried reading the book, too. Even if it is a satire, it still got my hackles up. :)

Did you win the lottery, or would we have heard the screaming from Michigan to Texas if you had?
