Grading, Grading, and More Grading...

Can someone tell me why I do this again? Oh yeah, money...

I have been "reading" AP Chemistry Exams since Thursday morning, 8 hours a day. One question, over and over. So far, I have read almost 2800 exams, or about 4% of the approximately 70,000 exams that are here in Clemson waiting to be scored. There are 24 of us reading this question alone, and over 160 of us in total, reading 8 questions. We should be done by Wednesday afternoon.

The weather has cooperated. Bloody cold for SC, only in the 70's today. Thank goodness.

Very tired now. Not sleeping well. Accomodations are spartan, to say the least (campus apartments, with the pee-proof plastic matresses). The A/C works...somewhat too well. It has two settings: frosty and frigid. I am glad I have a sleeping bag.

Anyhow, I am off to bed. We start at 8, and I want to attempt a full nights' sleep.
