Arrived in Ames, IA, aka the Internet Hinterlands

Made the 600 mile drive from Adrian to Ames, IA in about 8.5 hours. Not a bad trip. Lots of corn. Lots.

It would seem at first glance that there are 4 PCs here for about 1000+ science teacher geeks to share for email access. No wireless or in room ethernet either. Eeeeek! Talk about Blogging Siberia. There are about 50 people watching me blog this and tapping their feet. I am already searching for an off campus coffee shop with wireless.

One thing this place has an abundance of seems to be pillowcases. When I checked in to my room, I had one blanket, one sheet, one pillow, and NINE extra pillowcases. Very amusing.

This is going to be an interesting week.

More as time and availability permit.

Perhaps you are encouraged to take a pillowcase home with you. Better yet, maybe they all hid out there, hoping you will help them escape by hiding them in your luggage when you leave.

Free the pillowcases!
