Connoisseur Bear

We were talking about this last night at the bar, and I found this link to the story from JP at Play By Play.

Bear downs 36 beers, passes out at campground
Rainier, not Busch, the beverage of choice for thirsty black bear

You gotta love a bear with taste. And contrary to what I heard last night, the bear was not found in a tree, but on the ground.

The bear was captured in a trap baited with two cans of Rainier and some doughnuts and relocated. I guess he's gonna have to find a new place to raid the [Yogi}pick-a-nic baskets[/Yogi].

Here in Seattle the reporting on this story was seen as incomplete. Was it regular Rainier, Dry, Lite, Ice, or Export?

I think "Export" means they send it to Idaho.

Thanks for the link, Doc.

My only disappointment is that Busch beer has the "c" in the name. Otherwise, I saw an ad campaign coming from the Kerry camp..."Even Bears Don't Like Bush".

Sadly, I can neither confirm nor deny the specific variation of Rainer beer that the bear was drawn to.
