Mid-Semester Break Weekend

This has been an awesome few days. There are no classes on Monday and Tuesday, so I have some extra free time. I frontloaded most of next weeks work into this week, so I could stay away from campus this weekend.

So... Friday night was poker with the gang at John's house. Watching the debate added a certain amusement to the card playing. Saturday was hanging out with Kevin, and doing a little goofing off and shopping (Borders Books is a dangerous place on Educator's Appreciation Weekend), Saturday night was staying at home, cleaning up and getting laundry done, along with a bit of reading. Sunday morning was Fall clean up (cleaning the garage and putting away the grill and picnic table) and putting up the storm windows. My brother Kirk came out and we made it out to Toledo to drop off my Element for some warranty work, and then we hung out and went to go see "Friday Night Lights", which is highly recommended.

Tomorrow is breakfast out, golf, and who knows what else.

Nothing very special is happening, but I am finding myself reminded how good life is right now. Life is damn good.

You could catch the red-eye to Portland and watch to see if Mt. St. Helens blows.

It's always good to have that realization, that right now life is really good. :)
